This album comprises the original track ideas and draft mixes of songs for inclusion on an album that I was working on. Sadly due to a hard drive failure and the loss of the original audio recordings I have decided to release the tracks as they are and move on. Starting again from scratch to re-capture 5 months of work just seems too painful.... As such most of these recordings are pretty much live looping sessions with minimal overdubs.

On reflection it seems ironic and perhaps fitting that a series of musical pieces exploring themes of loss and melancholia should in themselves be impacted upon by an unexpected experience of loss ...

I have tidied up the tracks as best as I can and hope that in-spite of their sense of incompleteness that they still offer some musical coherence and nourishment to the soul.
